Tell us about yourself:
I was born and raised in a small town outside of Savannah, Georgia. I relocated to Lancaster County in 2016 and have been with Keystone Pet Place ever since. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I love traveling, experiencing new foods, and working with animals. I do miss home but I thoroughly enjoy the life I've built here in Pennsylvania. I cannot wait to see where this life takes me next.
I love grooming because.......
I have always had a strong love for animals and a dream to work with or around them. I strive to build a strong bond between your pet and myself and to ensure they have a wonderful experience during grooming. A positive relationship is my number one priority; I want my clients to feel as if they have known me for years.
Favorite breeds to groom/area of expertise:
I love working with puppies, shy/timid dogs, and dogs/cats who may have had a bad experience in the past with grooming. I enjoy grooming cats, yorkies, poodles/poodles mixes, and Bernese Mountain Dogs. I love a good deshed!

Kelly Marino
Mount Joy Store
Started with Keystone in June 2020
Years of Experience: I have been grooming dogs since I was very young at my family's boarding, grooming and training facility. I have been grooming professionally for over 12 years now and I began taking on my own clients at the age of 16!
Tell us about yourself:
I grew up in Upstate New York and pretty much as soon as I could walk and hold a leash I was helping around my family's kennel. My family also bred and showed German Shepherds in the AKC and so I have been involved in dog sports and animal care my entire life. As a teenager I was ranked as the #1 Junior Handler of German Shepherds, and in the top 20 of all junior handlers in the country. Around the age of 16 I began to show and groom dogs professionally. Many of my first clients were family friends who I am so grateful to for trusting me with their dogs! My passion for animals continued throughout college and I was able to still show, groom and train dogs on weekends. After graduating college I decided that my passion really was all things dogs, and so instead of starting a career in my field of study, I decided that I would open my own grooming salon and continue to show and train dogs. I opened my own grooming shop in the Poconos in 2016.
I moved to the Lancaster area in 2019 for my husband's career and because of that I had to sell my grooming shop. It was a difficult decision because I knew I would miss my clients very much, but ultimately my family and I are very happy to be here!
I love grooming because.......
It allows me to have a career in which I love getting up and going to work everyday. Grooming is a very dynamic job in which every day is different than the last, and being able to make animals and their owners happy is wonderful!
Favorite breeds to groom/area of expertise:
I really enjoy grooming double coated breeds and doing desheds! I also love grooming doodles of all types and of course, all puppies! I have expertise in grooming dogs who have previously had bad grooming expieriences and who are timid or shy. It's a great feelings when I can help dogs and their owners have a positive grooming experience!
